Setup with load balancing


ShareAspace can be deployed in an environment where high availability and performance (mainly fast response time) is requested from the front-end. In this case a Load Balancer is required and since this is relatively well-known technology and independent from ShareAspace the installation of such a component is not described in this documentation.

This setup can also be combined with the Failover Setup.

Note

A Load Balancer is an architecture component that acts as a reverse proxy to distribute application traffic across a number of servers. A Load Balancer is usually used to increase the possibility for concurrent users and the reliability of applications. They improve the overall performance of applications by decreasing the burden on servers associated with managing and maintaining application and network sessions, as well as by performing application-specific tasks.
