Space template
Usage
The Space Template is used to instantiate new Space instances within a Collection. The template defines Participants, Roles, Basic Access, Modules, and SoftTypes to be used for a predefined Space scenario and Space scope. The different ShareAspace products make use of predefined Space Templates running on the ShareAspace server.
It is possible to create a Space Template from scratch as well as by editing existing Space Templates.
The Space Templates can be uploaded to and downloaded from a Collection. A Space Template must be used when creating new Spaces in a Collection.
SoftTypes
All SoftTypes to be used within a Space are defined in the Space Template. The SoftTypes are described in the SoftTypes section.
Clients
For the ShareAspace Web application, the Space Template defines what Modules installed within the Collection that should be activated for a Space instance. What Modules that are available depends on the license and what Products are installed on the Collection. If custom Modules are to be used these must also be installed on the Collection and defined within the Space Template.
It is possible to configure which defined roles should have access to which modules.
Queries and indexes
All Queries and Indexes to be used within a Space are defined in the Space Template. The Queries and Indexes are described in the Index and queries section.
Structure definitions
All Structure Definitions to be used within a Space are defined in the Space Template. The Structure Definitions are described in the Structure Definitions section.
Share packages
The Share Packs section in the Space Template is used to define Share Package Definitions. Read more about Share Packages in the Share Package section.
