Applicability filter
When navigating over specific SoftType to SoftType references it can be that the space configuration has applicability setup, see applicability filtering.
If applicability has been configured and the data set that you are navigating over has applicability data set, you have the possibility to configure the information filter to pick what applicability context that are valid for the navigation.
If a filter is set, ShareAspace will only present the navigations that matches the applicability contexts that has been set in the filter.
Note
For a definition of the applicability contexts configured, please refer to the documentation of the Space configuration in question.
Information filter
- Go into space settings from user menu.
- Expand advanced.
- Find Applicability.
- Apply the filter that you want.
ShareAspace will present all applicability contexts that are defined within the Space. If the contexts are structured, you will be presented with all the root applicability contexts and their respective structures.
Selecting an applicability context further down in a structure will implicitly add all parent applicability contexts recursively upwards in the structure.
Selecting an applicability context with children, while recursively select all children downwards in the structure.
All of this is visually indicated by the tree selector.
Once the filter is applied all reference navigations will apply this applicability filter (if applicable with the configuration).
Context based filtering
For the model browser module and if configured, the structure and context object modules can have a locally defined information filtering. The local information filter can be configured with one or more of all the possible information filters (such as effectivity, latest version, etc.).
To set the local information filter, click the Information filter
button above the tree structure.
Note
The settings set in the local information filter are only applicable to the module where the filter was set. Compared to the global filter set from the user module that is applicable to the whole web application. The local filter will override the global filter.
When clicking the Information filter
button you are presented with a form with the filter options.
Based on the configuration you might have access to one or more of the possible filters. In this example
all filters are active.
